Girl with a Hot Air Balloon

The curse of helium, your hot air balloon always flies away…

This is a uniquely surreal composition by Eleanor Stuart featuring a girl who has lost her hot air balloon. Designed across two plates, the balloon can be placed further away from the girl to appear as if her balloon has flown far far away...

Each illustration is silk-screen printed and decorated by hand on to beautiful coupe fine bone china plates in Stoke-on-Trent.

This design is a pair of plates, a large 27x27cm plate and a smaller 20x20cm plate, sold as a pair.

This piece was selected by the Royal Academy of Arts for their 'RAted' project that supports new artists and designers. Read more about the project here
